Description

The Lagoon Nebula is a very bright emission nebula with a lot of Hydrogen located in the southern sky and can even be seen with the eye. It is 4000+ light years away. This was my first shot using a Edge HD 8″ SCT scope with Hyperstar running at F/1.9. This equated to about 2.5 hours of integration time compared to my regular scope at about 12.5 hours of integration time… It’s fast and collects a lot of light quickly. Processed in the usual Hubble color palette.

Ha Filter: 125×30″

Oiii Filter: 25×30″

Sii Filter: 25×30″

Integration Time: ~2.5 hours total with Hyperstar
